Tested, verified… and now proven! The University of Oxford recently carried out a study of more than 13,000 schools in England to assess the impact of Mathletics on Key Stage 2 SATs results in maths.
Delivering a proven SATs advantage to students…
We’ve always known that Mathletics provides a significant advantage to all students who use it. Now it’s been proven.
The University of Oxford’s study concluded that schools who made regular use of Mathletics (as little as 20 mins/week) did significantly better on a range of measures, compared to schools that did not use Mathletics.
““The results of this study show that regular use of Mathletics is associated with a significantly higher proportion of pupils making at least 2 levels progress at Key Stage 2. Similarly, regular use of Mathletics is also associated with a greater proportion of pupils achieving a level 4, 5 and 6 in mathematics. The results suggest that for schools to benefit from using Mathletics, pupils need to complete just 3 curriculum activities each week.”

Bring the Mathletics Advantage to your school
Empirical evidence from research into Mathletics highlights key ways to maximise time with Mathletics and gain the greatest advantage. Here are some top tips…
Students that complete two to three Mathletics activities per week have been found to gain up to a significant advantage in external testing. Assign Mathletics activities directly from your Teacher Console. Each activity takes between six and seven minutes to complete on average.
Revise and consolidate student learning by printing Mathletics assessments practice papers from the many available within the Tests area in your Mathletics Teacher Console. This will help familiarise students with test conditions and help to ease the strain of a testing environment.
Go further and support fluency in numeracy with Live Mathletics. The ten levels of the gaming area offer a fantastic opportunity to support and increase fluency in core maths skills. An excellent follow-up after your students have completed their weekly assignment of practice activities.
We love learning. That’s why we offer every school a free trial of Mathletics. See how you can get the Mathletics Advantage in your classroom today.
